Faithful/Unfaithful Servants

Luke 12:35-48 Jesus continues His teaching on faithfulness to the Lord as we set our focus heavenward. There is great reward in faithful service to our King, but Jesus also teaches that there is curse for the unfaithful.

Trust in God!

Luke 12:22-34 Jesus teaches His people that they have no need to be anxious and be consumed with worry at the needs of this life.

The Parable of the Rich Fool!

Luke 12:13-21 Where is your treasure at? In this passage Jesus confronts a man whose heart would be pretty typical in our culture, a man whose heart is focused on getting all he can in this world, with no care about the world to come. Will God call you a fool when you stand before Him?

Don’t Fear them; Fear Him!

Luke 12:1-12 Jesus continues teaching about the key of knowledge, the fear of the Lord. A healthy fear of God should cure us of any fear of anything else, especially the fear of men.

Hope That Leads to Obedience

1 Peter 1:13-25 God’s gracious gift of faith leads to more than just eternal life, the hope that comes through His grace also motivates us to live in obedience to Him.

It’s All of Grace!

Ephesians 2:1-9. Salvation is of the Lord. every single ounce of it. We are saved by grace, and nothing but grace, and oh how we need His grace!

Sign of Jonah

Luke 11:29-36 Jesus speak of the generation in Israel at His time as being evil. These actively choose to remain in darkness rather than walk in the light. They have been given ample evidence, yet they demand more signs in order to believe. Jesus offers nothing but the sign of Jonah, which might not be what you think it is upon first reading of this text.
