Shrewd Faith

Luke 16:1-13 Jesus tells a parable to His disciples about a man who uses what he has at his disposal to make friends for his future. Jesus makes it clear that believers are likewise to use our earthly wealth to make friends who will welcome us into our eternal home.

Joy in Heaven

Luke 15:1-10 Jesus continues his message on commitment to Christ, and as the Pharisees grumble that Jesus welcomes sinners, He tells a series of three parables to show the true purpose of Jesus in this world.

Go Out and Compel People to Come

Luke 14:15-24 Jesus continues to correct and rebuke the Pharisees who see themselves as guaranteed recipients of the Kingdom of God. Here we see a parable of great significance for us. The gospel invitation is generously wide. It extends even to the highways and hedges, and praise God it does!

Strive to Enter

Luke 13:22-30. As Jesus taught, often those listening were led to ask question regarding his message. On this occasion the question raised is this: “Lord, are there just a few who are being saved?” The answer Jesus gives has significance for all.

Repent or Perish

Luke 13:1-9 Is repentance necessary for salvation? Can one simply believe without ever repenting of sin and hope to be saved? Jesus answers this question with a resounding “NO!” In this extremely evangelistic sermon found in Luke 12:1-13:9 we see that our response to sin is very important.

Faithful/Unfaithful Servants

Luke 12:35-48 Jesus continues His teaching on faithfulness to the Lord as we set our focus heavenward. There is great reward in faithful service to our King, but Jesus also teaches that there is curse for the unfaithful.
