The Message Commissioned to Proclaim
Luke 24:44-49 The great commission as recorded by Luke. Jesus comes to His disciples and after proving Himself to be truly there, He opens His disciples understanding of scripture to both His person and work as foretold in the Old Testament prophecies. Jesus is the fulfillment of God’s eternal plan of redemption, as is the witness of the disciples in proclaiming repentance for the forgiveness of sins in Jesus name.

Today we focus on the words Luke does not record, which both Matthew and Mark give detail of, as Jesus points to this abomination of desolation that is to come, which Matthew says is a reference to Daniel’s prophecy. If we are going to understand Luke 21, we need to see that it is prophecy…
The Hope That Is In You
1 Peter 3:15 calls believers to be prepare to give a defence of the hope we have to anyone who asks. This assumes that as Christians we actually do have hope. But a generic hope can’t be defended, it must be a personal hope. Can we have such a hope? Yes we can!
They Will Kill Him, and on the Third Day He Will Rise
Luke 18:31-34. For the third time in Luke’s gospel Jesus tells His disciples about His coming death in Jerusalem. That written by the prophets is going to be accomplished!
