The Seeker and Savior of Sinners

Luke 19:1-10 Jesus enters Jericho to meet a man God has planned for a long time to save. Jesus is the seeker, and He finds all He goes looking for and saves each and every one of them. He has to be, or none would ever be saved.

Trust in God!

Luke 12:22-34 Jesus teaches His people that they have no need to be anxious and be consumed with worry at the needs of this life.

Don’t Fear them; Fear Him!

Luke 12:1-12 Jesus continues teaching about the key of knowledge, the fear of the Lord. A healthy fear of God should cure us of any fear of anything else, especially the fear of men.

Teach Us To Pray: Part 4

Luke 11:5-13. Jesus taught the heart we are to approach the Father with, the petitions we are to bring before our Father’s throne, and here in today’s text the reception we find in our God as we pray. Ask, Seek, knock. Our Father is faithful!

He is Risen!: The Center of Our Faith

1 Corinthians 15. The resurrection of Jesus Christ has implication on your life whether you believe or not, and the evidence of the resurrection is staggering. There are a few theories trying to explain away the facts, but none of them hold water. Our faith rests on a firm foundation.

Inheritance By Faith

1 Peter 1:3-12 God is the cause of our faith, the keeper of our faith, the guard of our faith, and the reward of our faith. He ensures that all His children receive their inheritance.

Calming the Storm

Luke 8:22-25 Jesus and His disciples sail across the sea of Galilee and encounter a storm. The fearful disciples awake Jesus with desperate pleas for help. Jesus demonstrates His authority to new heights as He calms this storm. He then asks the question we would never want Jesus to ask us: “Where is your faith?”

Are You The One?

Luke 7:18-23 John the Baptist in jail sends his disciples to ask Jesus one question: Are you the one expected, or should we expect another? No other person in history can we say was expected to come, but Jesus was. Very specific details of who He would be, what He would do were given hundreds of years before His birth. John’s question is of the utmost of importance. Is Jesus this one promised?

Examining Fruit

Luke 6:43-49. What does the fruit in your life look like? Is it good fruit? Jesus teaching in the Sermon on the Mount consistently paints the picture of two men: The blessed and the cursed. In today’s passage Jesus speaks of the fruit of a man’s life as evidence of which one of those categories he belongs in.
