We love God’s word, and we believe that teaching the Bible faithfully and accurately is one of the best ways to help believer’s grow in their relationship with the Lord. We also believe that the Word of God is the only thing that is ever going to bring anyone into a saving relationship with God. Please feel free to check out our sermons here on line, and we would love to have you join us on Sunday’s as well.

Four Types of Men, Only Two Results

Luke 23:35-43 The crowd has multiple responses to Jesus on the cross from curiosity to mocking, but of all those present to see Jesus on the cross, we see one man saved.

The Interceding Savior

Luke 23:32-34. As our Lord is nailed to a Roman cross, we read the first of His seven sayings on the cross. From the moment the blood of our Savior’s cross began to flow, our Lord begins His work of intercession for His people.

Either You or Your Substitute, One Will Be Judged

Luke 23:25-34 How did Barabbas see Jesus death? Barabbas was a guilty man who deserved to die, yet on the cross he was to be crucified, Jesus died instead. As Jesus is led to that cross, the great multitudes of people follow Him, and the women mourn over what is happening, and Jesus instructs them to mourn rather for themselves and their children.

Condemnation of The Innocent Man

Luke 23:13-25. The Jews, after Herod refuses to find Jesus guilty, return to Pilate demanding that he impose the death penalty in the case of Jesus. They have accused Him of misleading the people, so Pilate calls the chief priests, the rulers, and the people, hoping the people will challenge the leaders desire to have the man Jesus put to death. It doesn’t work out as Pilate had hoped.

The Fourth and Fifth Trials of Jesus

Luke 23:1-12. Jesus trial by the Jew has been completed, and upon the declaration that Jesus must die, He is hauled off to the Roman governor to be put to death. Pontus Pilate examines Jesus, declaring Him to be innocent, but the Jew demand He be condemned. So Pilate passes the buck and sends Jesus to Herod to be examined.

A Holy God

Isaiah 6:1-8. Man’s tendency is to evaluate oneself by comparison with people around us that we think are far worse than we. When we come into contact with a holy God, that reasoning no longer stands, and as we see God for who He is, we also rightly see ourselves for who we are. God is holy, holy, holy, and we are utterly sinful.

Fairy-tale? No, We Believe in Historical Fact!

Galatians 4:4-5. The Christian message is often rejected as fairy-tale by people who are ignorant to the fact that our faith rests not on the imagination of men like all other earthly religions, Christianity rests on historical fact. Christ’s birth, His life, His death, and His resurrection are all events based in history, and that history supports the truth the Bible presents.

The Word Became Flesh

John 1:14. Jesus birth is incredibly important to the Christian faith. Why does it matter that He was born to a virgin. Why does it matter that God is His Father?
